Quick answer
Muse, Meta's personal AI agent, does not document a way to add an MCP server by its URL, and Nation is not in its connector list yet. Muse connects to services listed under Settings > Connectors, and Meta lists connectors it has approved there. Until Nation is listed, connect your store to Claude, ChatGPT or Grok Bot, which accept a custom MCP server.
Nation publishes this guide about its own connector. The steps for Muse come from its maker's own documentation, checked 13 Oct 2026. See where Nation fits.
What works in Muse today
Muse is Meta's personal AI agent. Meta says Muse is rolling out in the US on iOS, Android, and muse.ai.
Muse reaches outside services through Connectors. Meta's help page describes two ways to add one, and neither is a field for an MCP server URL, which is how Nation's connector works.
Meta also notes that it does not review custom connectors or how they use your information. Because Meta does not say a Custom Connector can sign in to an MCP server with OAuth, this guide does not cover that path.
How to connect Nation once it is in the Muse connector list
These steps follow Meta's help page for any listed connector. They apply only after Nation appears in the list.
Open Connectors
In Muse, go to Settings, then tap Connectors. You can also ask Muse to connect Nation.
Tap Connect next to Nation
Read the information Muse shows about the connector.
Tap Continue
Tap Continue to authorize the connection, then follow the sign-in steps.
Finish in Nation
Sign in with your email and code, choose the store and select Connect, as described below.
Connect Nation to another assistant meanwhile
Claude, ChatGPT and Grok Bot each let you add a custom MCP server by its URL, so you can connect Nation to them today with https://mcp.withnation.ai/mcp. The guides below walk through each one.
Sign in to Nation and choose your store
Once Nation is in the Muse connector list, the Nation side will be the same as for every other assistant.
Sign in with your email
Muse opens app.withnation.ai/mcp-auth. Enter the email you use for Nation and the one-time code Nation sends you. There is no password and no API key to copy.
Choose the account
If your email belongs to more than one Nation account, choose the one that owns the store.
Choose the store
Pick the store Muse may work with. One connection reaches one store. A store without an active plan is shown but cannot be picked.
Select Connect
Nation creates a key for that store named after the assistant and ending in (MCP), then sends you back to Muse.
What Muse can do in your store
Once Nation is connected, Muse works in the one store you picked, through Nation's tools.
Read tools only read. Tools that delete, refund, cancel or reach outside Nation are marked as destructive or open-world, so the assistant can ask you before it runs them. Changes it makes are saved in your store like any other change.
What to ask Muse once Nation is connected
Ask in plain words, the same way you would ask a person who runs the store with you:
- Which products sold best this month?
- Show me orders that still need to be fulfilled.
- What is running low on stock?
- Create a 15% discount code for returning customers.
- Make the homepage headline shorter, then publish the storefront.
Disconnect Nation from Muse
Sign in to Nation
Sign in at app.withnation.ai with your email and the one-time code.
Open Settings, then Developer
This page lists the keys that assistants use to reach your store.
Revoke the key
Revoke the key for Muse, the one ending in (MCP). Access stops at once. If you use Nation in Muse again, it asks you to connect again.
Disconnect in Muse
Once Nation is connected, you can also disconnect it in Muse: you can disconnect a Connector at any time in Settings under Connectors.
If Nation does not work in Muse
- The store you want cannot be picked: it needs an active plan, or it belongs to another Nation account. Sign in with the email that owns it.
- Muse cannot reach the server: check that the URL is exactly https://mcp.withnation.ai/mcp, with /mcp at the end.
- Muse works in the wrong store: one connection reaches one store. Revoke the key in Nation and connect again, choosing the other store.
- Changes do not show on your live site: storefront changes stay unpublished until you publish them. Ask the assistant to publish the storefront.
- You cannot find Nation in Muse's connector list: it is not listed yet. Use Claude, ChatGPT or Grok Bot for now.
- Still stuck: email dk@withnation.ai with the email you sign in with, the store name, the assistant you used, what you asked and roughly when.
Where Nation fits
Nation
Category: an AI store builder
Nation says one description of what you make builds the store, then agents handle orders, customers and delivery and run ads, content and social posts, with you approving the work. The Nation connector lets Muse work in one Nation store you choose.
Limits today
- Status: pre-launch, with a waitlist on withnation.ai.
- One connection reaches one store; connect again to work in another store.
- Only stores with an active plan can be connected.
- The assistant can change and delete things in your store, so read its confirmation prompts before you approve them.
Nation publishes this page about its own connector. Nation does not make Muse, and the steps for Muse come from its maker's documentation.
Describe what you makeQuestions about connecting Nation to Muse
Do I need an API key to connect Nation to Muse?
No. Nation's connector signs you in with OAuth, so you never copy a key. Muse opens Nation's sign-in page, you enter your email and a one-time code, choose a store and select Connect. Nation then creates a dedicated key for that store itself, and you can revoke it in Settings, then Developer.
Can Muse change my store without asking?
Muse changes your store only when it calls one of Nation's write tools for you. Tools that delete, refund, cancel or reach outside Nation are marked as destructive or open-world, so the assistant can ask you first. Read those prompts before you approve them, and revoke the key in Nation if you want access to stop.
Can I connect more than one store to Muse?
One connection reaches one store, the one you pick while signing in. To work in a different store, revoke the key for Muse in Nation under Settings, then Developer, and connect again, choosing the other store. Stores without an active plan are shown in the list but cannot be picked.
Can I add Nation to Muse with its server URL?
Not as far as Meta's documentation shows. Muse connects to services from its connector list under Settings, then Connectors, and lets you ask it to build a Custom Connector, but Meta does not describe a field for an MCP server URL. Nation is not in the list yet, so connect your store to Claude, ChatGPT or Grok Bot meanwhile.
